Prelium Task

Our Prelium task was to made up of several components all based around a story and setting what myself and group members came up with was a unusual child/teacher relationship.

We set it in a classroom however this came with its problems as we had to use one or two class rooms to shoot in due to the fact that we where filming n school tiem so this made it slightly difficult to remember what shot we had done in the previous room and what shot we should continue from in the next.

We also worked to a time schedule and had to make sure our films where in the editing process at an exact time creating us time consuming problems as we had to make sure we stuck to the task aswell as making sure we had everything in on time.

Once we had finished filming we than went onto edidting this was alot of fun for me and my partner however it did coemwith more issues as we had to make sure we where cutting and adding the right content we wanted and it was even more trickier as we had to learn how to make our short clip run smoothly instead of jumping uneasiely from one clip to another this meant that we had to look into finer detail of what we were doing.

When we had finished edidting it was time to look at our short clip and try and scan through what looked good and what didnt quite work luckily we had added transitions that helped sort out our jumping from clip to clip problem but our main issue was how to make the ending of the clip not look rushed and rough therefore we played around with further transisitons and used "Fade to Black" which effortlessly made the film look more efficient as it didnt end so abrut.

The camera work displayed through the clip was good but sometimes it was difficult to work out what shot was being used therefore this made us think about for future reference that we should plan and take care of what shots we would be using.
