Feedback of our Prezi for our film: Late Night Bite
The feed back we were giving by our peers in regards of our Prezi (presentation) for our opening to our horror film was to refine our opening and try not to stray away from what we are actually doing also as our film is for younger viewers we need to make sure it is suitable. Other points that were raised was that as we have a good storyline we need to make sure it does not fall through due to our camerawork therefore we must make time and preparation to make our camerawork affective. We also need to focus on our sounds and characters as in our opening we have a class of school children so we need to make sure we able to use groups of children in order to fulfill that scene. We were also told that we need to make sure that our opening does not give away the whole film and does not look like a contempory trailer to a movie.

Title Sequences

This specific title sequence from the film Haloween really draws the audience into what they are going to watch. The director has creatively used sound to draw the audience in as by the use of the "creepy music" in the background it already has the audience hanging of their seats. The effect of the jackolaten coming closer and closer as the music becomes louder and louder also catches the attention of the audience as well as it being a sugnificant figure of the event Haloween itself. Towards the end of the title sequence their is voices of young children chanting this grabs the attention of the audience and drags them into it even further as the fact of young children being involved becomes fairly disturbing to many as it focuses on the innocence.

The title sequence starts of fairly unique as it is narrated however the narrator does not sound like your average friendly guy from "Come Dine With Me". Its your average action film with a twist the main charater is across from Human and Vampire. The director was able to build what was to happen in the film by the begining being narrated which adds a personal touch to the film.

The director has used ery music tied in with clasiical to create an authentic horror affect the use of the authentic blood tells the audience what is most likely to happen without giving the whole story line away. The use of the sewers and rats and the fire in the bakery in the background while the names of the actors are shown sets the scene for the audience as it roughly tells them its set in the streets if London.

Film Plot
Plot of film: Set in a school where children exceed due to their talents and strive for success however there is one thing standing in their way the "monster teacher". The film is based around a fifteen year old who strives to reach the top of his monster teachers "food chain" otherwise he faces the risk of becoming "DINNER".
It becomes a race agaisnt time and peers as the teenager is placed up agaisnt his peer in several challenges at the end of which one will become their techers late night "SNACK"!!
By using techniques and editing skills we will be able to produce a high quality piece to do this we will include sounds, mise-en-scene, editing, camera work to build up the quality of the film the use of sound will grip our audience we will use sounds such as screams, non-diegetic and diegetic sounds, mise-en-scene will capture what is in the frame and anything going on in the background this will help us also set out our establishing shot, our camera work will enable us to focus on our characters and on the scene in which they are once all this is put together editing will take place this is where will focus on fixing and sorting out scenes we find long or no longer thrilling for the genre of what we are doing.

Conventions of a Horror Film
Conventions of a Horror Film:
Lighting
Sounds/Music
Characters
Blood
Screaming
each of these play a key role in the making of a horror film as each are used to keep the audience entertained and most importantly gripped to the edge of their seats!!
Lighting: (Sweeney Todd's Barber Shop)
This shot emphasies on the use of lighting to create the scene in this particular scene the audience see sweeney todd in his barber shop holding above his victim the light contrast with the outside lighting to the lighting in the barber shop empahsise on the dark going on's about to take place!
Sounds: (sound taken from the movie Psyhco)
the sound/music in movies is key as it enables the audience to take notice of what is happening and keep them gripped to the edge of their seats.

Characters: (the photo is taken of the psycho killer in the movie Halloween and Halloween 2)
The characters play the biggest role of any movie let alone a horror movie as there has to be a gruesome killer that the audience are waiting to be scared by.
Blood (all horror films always tend to have grusome death scenes ending with blood splattering all over the place)
Screaming - (all horror films have many screaming victims as it builds to the intensity)
